Frequently Asked Questions About Wasatch

What time is Sunday worship service?

10:00am in the Sanctuary each Sunday.

How long does worship last?

About an hour and 15 minutes, sometimes less depending on what is happening in the life of the church.

What are your worship services like?

Our service is a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional worship styles. Each service features our talented worship band, dedicated choir, and esteemed organist. We often host special musical guests and soloists including our children’s choir and beloved bell choir. Worship at Wasatch is thoughtfully led every Sunday by our pastor, Rev. Irene Pak Lee, ensuring a spiritually enriching experience.

How do you dress for worship services at Wasatch?

At Wasatch, you’ll see a wide range of attire - some people wear dresses, slacks, coats, or ties, while others come in jeans, t-shirts, or even shorts in the summer. People sometimes dress up a bit more for special services, but there’s no expectation to do so. We’re glad to have you just as you are; simply wear whatever feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

Who can take Communion?

Communion at Wasatch is open to all who seek a deeper relationship with Jesus and wish to receive God’s grace expressed to us in Jesus Christ. You do not need to be a member of Wasatch or any church to participate. Communion is offered by intinction, which is taking a pre-cut portion of bread and then dipping it in grape juice. We offer a gluten free option as well as an individual portion for anyone who prefers it that way.

Do you have Sunday school classes?

Yes! During the school year (Labor Day to Memorial Day) we offer many rich and varied classes for all ages. Adults meet in the library from 9 – 9:55 am. Kids are excused during worship for spiritual formation and the youth meet twice a month plus other activities.

Is childcare available during worship services?

Yes! We have a nursery for babies through Pre-K. Our gym is open and supervised during fellowship hour after worship so parents can visit with one another and kids are able to play safely together.

Is Parking Available and Is the Building Accessible?

We have an upper and lower parking lot with ample parking spaces as well as some angled handicap stalls on 1700 East. Our sanctuary runs East to West. Most folks enter through our Fellowship Hall doors that face East and have a handicap button for easier access. There are railings along the walkway to the doors and ramps from the parking lot to the sidewalk.

Is there a youth program at Wasatch?

Yes! We have a dynamic youth program for 7th-12th graders, plus a very strong children’s program. Please see our Youth Ministry for more information about worship, education, camp and social activities for children and teens.

Are Bible study classes available?

Yes! We offer several bible study options on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
