LADIES' BOOK CLUB
Tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. at Dawn's house.
10:15 a.m. in the Loft
This Sunday we will be discussing anger, specifically looking at a news report on how the Inuit people, in the arctic seaside town of Iqaluit, Canada, handle anger. The Inuit people consider it demeaning and inappropriate to punish or yell in anger, instead they seek self-control in anger, teaching emotional regulation by example.
We will then launch into a discussion on the broader topic of how to handle our own anger, as well as hostility expressed by others and look at the book of Proverbs, containing many wise principles in regard to anger.
Proverbs 15 : 1-2
A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
The tongue of the wise dispenses knowledge,
but the mouths of fools pour out folly. (No context needed.)
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
