THIS WEEK:
PARENT OFFERING: PREVENTING GUN VIOLENCE DISCUSSION
Thursday, March 22nd, 5:30 - 6:30PM in Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be provided. While most gun owners store their firearms responsibly, nearly 1.7 million children in the U.S. live in homes with unsecured guns. Too often, when an unsupervised child gets his or her hands on a gun, tragedies result---including unintentional shootings, suicides, and homicides. With the goal of starting the conversation about responsible gun storage in our community, Emily Rainey will present on the Be SMART campaign which outlines simple steps that all adults -- whether they own guns or not -- can take to keep our children safer.
