SUMMER SUMMER SUMMERTIME

SUMMER RAFTING TRIP
Tuesday, August 6 - Saturday, August 10
National Ability Center (the rafting outfitter) needs a preliminary estimate for our rafting trip on the Colorado River this summer. Can you please send me a text or email if your youth IS or IS NOT thinking about going on the river trip. I do not need a firm answer at this time; just let me know if they are considering it.

We will depart for Moab on the morning of Tuesday, August 6th, spend the night overnight at a local church and spend three nights and four days on the Colorado River. We will return Saturday evening, August 10th! Mark your calendars now for this fun bonding youth adventure. Open to current 6th graders through graduating seniors.

WEDNESDAY

YOUTH HEARTING - All teens needed this Wednesday, February 13th! Meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. (pick up at 8:30 p.m.) and bring $5 for dinner. We will drive around the valley, using our stealth ninja skills to place hearts in the yards of unexpected targets, chosen by congregation members. I need all youth hands for this one. We have lots of houses to decorate! Can your youth help? Please text/email me and let me know.

Additionally, I need four fun but safe adults to help drive for the first hour. Skills needed: ability to not only tolerate but enjoy loud teenagers and loud music while driving safely!

COMING UP

LADIES' BOOK CLUB - Saturday, February 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Dawn's home. We will be discussing Becoming by Michelle Obama. Bring wine or an appetizer to share.

GUYS' NIGHT OUT - Tuesday, February 26 at 8:00 p.m. at Sugarhouse Pub.

MUSEUM OUTING - Saturday, March 2 at 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and lunch will be included. Paul Hewitt is sharing his knowledge of all things Air Force. Join us for this outing with this dedicated and caring man from the congregation who wants to spend time with our youth! (Side note: I am impressed with how many of you read these entire emails! Thank you, thank you! Yes, this outing was originally scheduled to be an ice fishing adventure which I was super excited about. However, due to not catching any fish last year, I sent Paul Hewitt and Don Drew on a preliminary outing to scout out the best fishing options. They came back with a negative report including low ice and no fish. So, we have scratched that fun outing for this year. I personally hope to bring it back in 2020!)

MARDI GRAS PARTY - Tuesday, March 5
This is a family fun activity with masks, beads and black light face paint! Youth host the dance party in the loft.

ESCAPE ROOM CHALLENGE - Saturday, March 9 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mark your calendars for this fun challenge! Bring $15 for challenge + dinner.

Thanks to Kaila Reynolds for leading us in the Call to Worship and Scripture reading yesterday. And thanks to Samantha, Mira, Aj, Owen, Thomas, Scott, Kaila and Aidan for providing the Minute for Mission, and Alex, Fischer, Samantha, MIra, Owen and Aidan for cutting out hearts for this Wednesday's Hearting!

We also had a fun time at yesterday's family outing to the NInja Warrior Obstacle course. Youth, Noah, Alex, Fischer, and Kaila participated with their families.

Hope your youth can help out on Wednesday! Please let me know!
