The Prison Ministry Program of Wasatch witnesses to the principles of our Christian faith in the Oquirrh Chapel at the Utah State Prison. The inmates are deeply appreciative of our services, and in-turn, witness to and share their individual faith lives with us.
As our “Non-denominational Christian” identifier implies, we don’t push any particular faith, but stay focused on Biblically based lessons and material that encourage spiritual formation and growth. Inmates are encouraged to practice a lifestyle characterized by love, respect, caring, and trust in their relationships with family, fellow inmates, and prison staff. Regardless of their personal circumstances, offenses, or duration in prison, we strive to bring hope and a measure of peace to their lives.
We minister at the Oquirrh Chapel every Tuesday evening and on the 1st and 4th Sundays of each month from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. To learn more about the Prison Ministry, please contact Paul Hewitt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
