Warning!  Library Book Sale is coming Sunday, Nov. 4th.  All experienced books welcome.  Please leave them in the library or at the church office marked, "for book sale".

FLU VACCINE CLINIC AT WASATCH

There will be a Flu Vaccine Clinic here at Wasatch this Sunday (9/30) from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in the gym.  Community Nursing Service will be here to administer the shots.  They are prepared to administer these vaccines to children and adults and will have the new vaccine for seniors, as well.  Please bring your insurance cards and driver’s license.  The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone 6 months of age and older as the first and most important step against this serious disease.

SUNDAY ADULT EDUCATION

  • Paul Hewitt continues his 10 class series until December 9th called, “Steward, Living as Disciples in Everyday Life” in room 355.  If you are interested, please email the church office or come in and sign up.  All are welcome!

  • The first class of the Referenda Series—A Discussion of Medicaid Expansion led by RyLee Curtis from Utah Decides Healthcare—is being offered in room 356.

  • Lectionary will be lead by Terresa Newport in room 116.

MONDAY EVENING ADULT EDUCATION

Jan Bartlett is leading a class entitled “New Ways to Read the Bible” on Mondays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in room 355.  This Monday’s (10/1) discussion will be on John the Baptist and Jesus and substitutionary atonement vs participatory atonement.  Please arrive on time and everyone is welcome.

CROSSROADS COLLECTION

Donations are accepted throughout the month with a special focus on Communion Sunday.  They’re looking for protein items such as tuna and peanut butter, baby items like formula, diapers and baby food, travel size shampoo/conditioner, soap or lotion.  Donations can be left in the shopping carts.

FRIDAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT

Come for fun, food and fellowship on October 5th at 6:00 p.m. in the Loft.  Bring a side dish to share and enjoy pizza, games and fellowship.

YOUTH FALL RETREAT

The Youth have another opportunity to enjoy the mountain fun at Camp Tuttle on Friday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m. until Sunday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m.  Camp Tuttle is in Big Cottonwood Canyon and this retreat is for Junior & Senior High Youth (Grades 6-12).  For more information contact Dawn at dfleishman@wpcslc.org.

COMING SOON, THE ANNUAL PHOTO FUNDRAISER!

Saturday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 28 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. our talented Brad Leinberger will be available for family portraits, great for Christmas cards!  For $60 you get a 20-minute photo session and a digital copy of all the pictures and all funds support Children's Ministry.  To schedule a session, email hlambert@wpcslc.org.

ADULT OFFERINGS

A note that the Children's and Youth Ministries sponsor some gatherings for adults that are open to anyone in the congregation.  All are invited to join the monthly Guys' Night Out, Ladies' Night In and Ladies' Book Club offerings.
