Wasatch 101 : Join us November 19th at 10:10am in the Conference Room (RM 116).  Anyone interested in learning more about Wasatch or the Presbyterian Church is invited to attend. 

New Baby Meal Train : Congratulations to the Mueller Family on the birth of their twin girls, and the Cummings Family on the birth of their baby boy! We would love to show these families some support from their friends at WPC by sending a meal train of dinners as they get settled in. If you are able to bring a simple dinner to either of these families, your help is greatly appreciated. Email hlambert@wpcslc.org to sign up.

Thanksgiving Food Collection for Crossroads : Please take your bag as you leave today and return it to the Church full of non-perishable food on November 19th.  Rafael Kyremes will deliver it to Crossroads the next day so they can deliver it to the families they serve.  Thanks for your support.

Alternative Gift Market : Beginning November 19th in Fellowship Hall, we will offer a life-sustaining gift to help abolish global poverty or renew our planet’s environment. With your purchase, a description and Christmas card is provided. 

Weekend Custodian : Wasatch is looking to hire a custodian for Saturday & Sunday mornings. Ideal opportunity for college students or someone seeking a little extra from the weekend. For more information go to www.wpcslc.org.

Thanksgiving Dinner : The Annual Wasatch Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Thursday, November 23rd from 3:30 to 5:30 in Fellowship Hall. If you’re able, please bring a side dish to share. RSVP on the clipboard at coffee hour, call the office (801-487-7576) or send an email to reception@wpcslc.org.

Wreath & Greenery Youth Fundraiser : Support the Youth’s Summer mission trip by pre-ordering your Advent greenery at the Youth table in Fellowship Hall.

Family Promise Wasatch Presbyterian is one of 13 hosting sites, and our turn is coming up November 26 through December 3. Please volunteer to help out!  No experience is required, and we will make sure you feel prepared and trained for any assignment you take on.

We have a few important remaining slots, so if you are available, we would love to have you join us for this important program.

  • 11/26 (Sunday) - 2:30-5:30pm - Day Host - Be present at the church to answer questions and attend to needs
  • 11/28 (Tuesday) - 6pm - 8pm - Dinner Host - Help prepare, deliver, and serve dinner. There would be another person to share this with you.
  • 12/2 (Saturday) - 8pm - 9am - Overnight Host - Stay over in church (in private room) to be present and attend to questions and needs (curfew is 9pm). 
  • 12/3 (Sunday) - 9am-12noon AND 12Noon - 3pm - Day Host - Be present at the church to answer questions and attend to needs
  • 12/3 (Sunday) - 11am - 1pm - Help Tear Down and Clean Up after guests leave
  • 12/3 (Sunday) - Laundry - Take 1/4 of the laundry home and return it the following Sunday.

Adult Education invites you to join a tour of the BYU Museum of Art exhibit, "To Magnify the Lord: Six Centuries of Art and Devotion.  The exhibit demonstrates how religious art has sought to praise the Lord and penetrate the hearts and minds of believers. 

The exhibit features more than 75 original paintings, including outstanding pieces by beloved artistic masters such as Ridolfo Ghirlandaio, Rembrandt, and Edward Poynter, and a stained glass panel from the First Presbyterian Church in Astoria, New York  as well as LDS artists like Minerva Teichert.

Parking and admission are free.  The address is North Campus Drive, Provo, UT.  Please RSVP to Gay Cookson at gaycookson@comcast.net by November 28.  All ages welcome.  Gay will arrange carpools, if people are interested.  Attendees are welcome to stay in Provo for lunch following the tour.  Details to follow.

Join us for an informal discussion each Sunday, on positive parenting. Usually centered around an article. We meet outside the main kitchen near the library. All are welcome!

Join Pastor Scott Dalgarno in reading On Tyranny, Twenty Lessons from the 20th Century by Tim Snyder. Meet at 10:30am or 7:00pm in the Library.
