Service at Wasatch
Our next Family Promise hosting week is only one week away, starting May 14. We still need 3 overnight volunteers - staying overnight is a key role to make our week successful. Volunteer with your spouse or partner, or a friend you want to spend time with, or by yourself. You get your own room and the time goes by quickly (because you're asleep!). Sign up on the Family Promise form under the Service section of the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall. Questions, contact Allison Clements at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Royal Family Kids Camp: Want to go on a mission trip in the nearby Wasatch? Royal Family KIDS of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is for you! There is no cost to you but your time, and the rewards are priceless and lasting! 50 children ages 7-11 who are or have been in the foster care system will be showered with God’s love. Camp dates are July 30-August 4, training isJune 10. We rely on over 100 volunteers from more than a dozen churches in Utah and elsewhere. Most of our volunteers come back year after year but we need adult (18+) volunteers as counselors; support staff to help with fun activities; nurses, social workers, and musicians. Most volunteers spend 5 days and nights at Camp, but others help out during the days or evenings only. For info and to apply: https://www.rfk-gslc.org. YMCA Men's Bowling League
The 60+ year old YMCA Bowling League needs a new church team for the 2017-18 Bowling Season. Currently there are 15 mostly church based teams, and the league needs a sixteenth team to even out competition. This is a very fun men's league, and a team from Wasatch Presbyterian Church would make a great addition. With all the young families now making Wasatch their church home, the YMCA Bowling League would offer a fun outside team competition opportunity for young husbands and fathers. The YMCA League is a handicap league meaning all participants compete on a level playing field Hey guys, talk among yourselves and field a team of 8 bowlers for this fall. Note: 5 bowlers bowl each Thursday night at 7pm at Big City Bowl, September to April. You work out your own schedule with your 8 bowlers to be sure a 5-person team is present to bowl every Thursday night. For more information, contact Paul Hewitt, (H) 801-943-9228, email@example.com.
