Our year is nearing the end and we will be in our summer schedule before we know it. We hope everyone will join us in the church-wide events that are coming up in May. We cherish our time together and look forward to sharing these with you. Blessings to our beloved congregation.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH FAMILIES' PARK PICNIC
Tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Wasatch Hollow Park! Join youth, children and parents for a picnic and BBQ in the park next to the church. Bring a side dish to share and blankets or chairs for seating. See you all there!
Our next hosting opportunity is coming up May 19-26. We have the blessing to provide for some folks who may not be having a good year. To sign up online, check the "Service" link on the church's website and select "Family Promise." You can also sign up in person with Tom Mitchell or Alysia Harris during coffee hour this Sunday.
TAKE THE ONE LESS STRAW 30 DAY CHALLENGE
Support the youth (and subsequently the environment!) by taking a pledge not to use single-use straws for at least 30 days. They are hoping that this challenge will lead to a lifelong habit among our congregation as we determine to use reusable straws or forgo the straw altogether for our beverages.
Join us on Sunday, May 12th at 11:05 a.m., for a Congregational Meeting to vote on new Elders and Deacons. The new officers will be trained on May 18th and ordained and installed on May 19th.
THANK YOU PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The entire congregation is encouraged to support the Youth’s desire to show gratitude. Please join us for pancakes in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, May 12th at 10:10 a.m. Each youth will be assigned a table and will serve pancakes to its guests and engage the table in conversation. The youth are thankful for all the ways they are supported by our congregation and this is their way to say thanks!
Join us for our Celebration Sunday worship on May 19th at 10:00 a.m. We’ll wrap up our program year, kick off our combined summer worship service, and celebrate many wonderful things in the life of our church, including new Elders and Deacons, Youth Confirmands, 3rd graders getting Bibles, the Children’s Choir, and more.
Beginning May 19th, each Sunday throughout the summer, anyone who wishes to sing in the choir for that Sunday's service is invited to come to the choir room for a short rehearsal at 9:15 a.m. to learn the anthem for the day. The music is straightforward and fun! Please consider joining the summer choir when you can.
USHERS AND GREETERS NEEDED
We are in need of Ushers/Greeters for our one combined summer service, which runs from May 19th through Labor Day Weekend. This is a wonderful way to be involved at Wasatch and serve our community! If you are interested please contact Doug Howe at Howe.email@example.com.
