THIS SUNDAY WEAR RED FOR PENTECOST

Pentecost is celebrated by Christians across the globe this Sunday.  It is associated with the color red, symbolizing joy and the fire of the Holy Spirit.  The sanctuary will be decorated in red, and our custom is for the congregation to wear red clothing in celebration as well.

With this Sunday being Pentecost, Hilary is doing a special Pentecost Party for 5 year olds through 6th graders.  Following the Children's message I'll take kids down to the CM hallway for the rest of the service.  We will explore Pentecost through children’s literature, crafts, and games, and cake!  This type of program would normally happen during Sunday School, but the date of Pentecost falls outside the program year and she wants the opportunity to explore this important moment in the church year with the kids.  We hope to see your kids there!

CAMP WASATCH

Camp is happening next week, and whether or not your children are attending, Hilary could use your help.  She is in need of single-use plastic water bottles for a craft on Monday night.  Don't go buy any though!  They're doing an art project out of recycled materials, if you have any she would love for you to bring them to church on Sunday.  Thanks!

SOUP KITCHEN VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

We are looking for a new Soup Kitchen Scheduler(s), to take the lead in coordinating volunteers each month to make sandwiches and serve at the soup kitchen.  The soup kitchen is a wonderful ministry and a great way to involve those within and outside the congregation.  The volunteer schedule is set for 2019.  This could be a great role for two people to share.  Anyone interested or with questions is invited to contact Alysia Harris at delraydog@comcast.net.
