The Youth are in the height of their Service Projects this afternoon.  May they discover the blessings of serving others, while bonding with each other and growing their awareness of the world around them.  Prayers for the leaders and chaperones who are making this event possible.  May they have energy, patience and a warm heart as they guide the Youth.  What a glorious opportunity for all that are participating, both young and the young at heart!

Are you new to the Wasatch family in the last year or so?  If you answered yes, then please plan to come to a backyard BBQ THIS SUNDAY at 5:00 pm at the home of Doug and Charlotte Howe.  Participants don’t need to be official members; because we would like to celebrate all the new people at Wasatch and get to know you better!  We will have food and drinks and kids are welcome.  Please RSVP to Doug at howe.family@comcast.net so we know how much food to prepare.

Next week is our regularly scheduled Soup Kitchen week, but a youth group from Boise will be in town for a mission trip and will be covering both the sandwich making and soup kitchen serving duties.  So enjoy a month off and give thanks for visiting youth helpers!

We have a number of small glass tea sets in storage here at Wasatch.  Congregational Life has voted to offer them to the congregation and the remaining sets will be donated.  A table will be setup in Fellowship Hall with the sets displayed.  Please take what you would like and if you desire to make a donation, please label it in an envelope and place it in the red lock box on the main level in the workroom.

Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. - We’ll be discussing Educated by Tara Westover over casual conversation, wine, and appetizers at Dawn's home.  Contact Dawn at dfleishman@wpcslc.org for more information.

Join us at the Parley’s Creek Pavilion in Sugarhouse Park from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd for burgers, hotdogs, water play, bingo, dessert and more!  Look for the sign up in Fellowship Hall to RSVP and choose how you can help.  You can also sign up by clicking on this link.  Also, don’t forget to please bring a side to share.  Questions, contact Congregational Life by emailing wasatchclc@gmail.com or call/text Courtney.

Our annual rummage sale fund raiser for the Sudanese Fellowship will be held on July 13 & 14 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  We are in need of good quality items and the most needed items are: house wares, children's games and toys, linens, household decor, sporting goods, jewelry, and holiday decorations.  Books and clothes will also be sold.  In addition, we will be having a boutique of hand crafted items.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept large furniture.  Small furniture and lamps are fine.

You may bring your donations to the church on Sundays or during the summer office hours from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. starting THIS SUNDAY.  We ask that you take your items to the designated Sunday School rooms and place them on the correct table.  If you need a special time for drop off, please contact Jane Hereim.

We need help setting up on Thursday evening (July 11th) and Friday (July 12th) during the day.  Also, volunteers are needed during the sale to monitor, answer questions, and man the sales table.  If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Jane.  Thank you for your support!

Bring your dirty cars to our parking lot on Saturday, July 13th between 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for the youth to wash!  We are asking for donations to fund our summer rafting trip, (suggested donation of $10 or more).  We will need all youth to meet at 10:00 a.m. and parents help is appreciated if available!

We are looking for a new Soup Kitchen Scheduler(s), to take the lead in coordinating volunteers each month to make sandwiches and serve at the soup kitchen.  The soup kitchen is a wonderful ministry and a great way to involve those within and outside the congregation.  The volunteer schedule is set for 2019.  This could be a great role for two people to share.  Anyone interested or with questions is invited to contact Alysia Harris at delraydog@comcast.net.

Save the date for another Labor Day Retreat at Camp Tuttle! - August 31-September 2.  All are invited to join us for a weekend of fun and fellowship in the mountains, with activities including hiking, games, tie-dyeing, biking, reading, and campfire fun.  Camp Tuttle is about 40 minutes from WPC and offers a beautiful alpine setting at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon.  We have the camp reserved from Saturday morning through Monday morning.  Food will be provided by the camp cook and lodging includes bunk beds in rustic cabins.  Stay tuned for more information and sign-up forms.  Questions, please contact Rebecca Sandulli rsandulli@wpcslc.org.

Each Sunday throughout the summer, anyone who wishes to sing in the choir for that Sunday's service is invited to come to the choir room for a short rehearsal at 9:30 to learn the anthem for the day. The music is straightforward and fun! Please consider joining the summer choir when you can.

Stay connected over the summer with WPC Children's Ministry!  Our theme for Camp Wasatch was Celebrating God's Creation, and whether or not you were part of Camp Wasatch, you can share your summer celebrations in God's Creation with CM!  I have photo cards in the Fellowship Hall for everyone to take with you on your summer adventures and take photos with them. Send them to me or post them with #anillustratedearth so we can stay connected all summer long!

Join us each Sunday during the Summer from 9:00-10:00 a.m., in room 116 for a class on “Manifesting God within and around through prayer, meditation, sacred readings and mindfulness.”
