Church News

Don’t forget this Sunday is a Second Sunday Brunch in lieu of Coffee Hour and in honor of Father’s Day!  Bring a dish to share and join us after worship for food and fellowship.

Sunday is also Blanket Sunday!  In 2016 Church World Services distributed 7820 blankets around the world! Wasatch has been supporting this ministry of Church World Service for 26 years by donating money to buy blankets.  We forward the money we receive to CWS and they purchase the blankets for just $10.00 each. They are then distributed to families worldwide who have lost their homes to tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and other disasters.  In the U.S., CWS responded quickly in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.  Also emergency supplies to North Carolina, Virginia and other hard-hit areas on the East Coast as well as blankets to homeless shelters and street programs around the country.

You’re invited to a BBQ for new members and friends of Wasatch Presbyterian Church!  Mix, mingle, and make some new friends over bratwurst, veggie burgers, salads, and dessert. Kids are welcome.  6:00 pmSunday, June 25, 2017 in Doug and Charlotte Howe’s backyard.  1464 E. Parkway Avenue. Questions / rsvp: Doug Howe, 801-485-9142howe.family@comcast.net  We hope you can come!

Dick Wunder and friends will present a concert in honor of immigrants, Saturday, June 24, 7pm in the church sanctuary.

Please note we are currently having some difficulty with the church phone system.  While we troubleshoot/implement a new system, please don’t hesitate to contact staff by cell phone. See the email Blast for specific cell numbers or contact Rebecca at 415.205.1471. Thank you for your patience!

Calling all singers for Summer Choir each Sunday throughout the summer.  Meet in the Choir Room at 9:15am to learn the anthem.

Don't forget to send in any photos for the new picture Directory to reception@wpcslc.org. Help us be sure we have photos of everyone!

Soup Kitchen - We have an outside group which has volunteered to serve at the Soup Kitchen on Wed. June 28, so we do not need Wasatch volunteers that day.  However, they will not be making sandwiches, so we are asking our loyal Wasatch folks to come on Tuesday June 27 at 7:00 pm and prepare all those delicious ham sandwiches.

Looking ahead to summer, mark your calendars for our annual July 3 BBQ—5pm at the Parley’s Creek Pavilion in Sugarhouse Park.

Join us for another weekend of mountain fun and fellowship at the all-church Labor Day retreat September 2-4 at Camp Tuttle at the top of Big Cottonwood.  Pick up a flyer in the foyer or on the website.
