February 2, 2017

We are excited to welcome Hilary Lambert as our new Children's Ministry Director.  Hilary first came to Wasatch several years ago, so we are excited to have her back and taking on a new role here. Between her Presbyterian background, her experience as elementary school teacher, and her general enthusiasm and energy, we believe she will help CM grow and thrive.  Her first Sunday in her new position will be February 12.

Next Sunday February 12 is the Annual Congregational Meeting.  It will start at 10:10am and be followed by light refreshments.  All are invited to join us in looking back at 2016 and looking ahead at 2017. There will not be any Adult Education or Sunday school that morning, but childcare will be available for children up through age 10.

As we look towards Lent, mark your calendar for the following:
- All-church Mardi Gras celebration on February 28th at 6pm, in Fellowship Hall.  Join us for a pancake dinner, music, art, and dancing, followed by a short devotional.
-Ash Wednesday supper and worship on March 1st at 6pm, in Fellowship Hall.  Join us for a simple soup supper followed by a short worship service

Keep a lookout for a survey about worship at Wasatch to hit your email box and be distributed at church in the coming weeks.  It’s time to collect your opinions so we can continue to grow through worship together.

Royal Family KIDS provides summer camp for Utah foster children and invites you to their annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, March 18th at Hidden Valley Country Club. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased beginning February 24th between services at the Royal Family KIDS table in the Fellowship Hall or online at www.rfk-gslc.org.

The RFK Fundraising Committee needs volunteers to help the day of the banquet.  We need you!   Contact Rick Franklin at (801) 793-9147 or rickfranklin777@yahoo.com to hear about volunteer opportunities and to make donations for the live and silent auctions.  Thanks!
