Congregational Meeting this Sunday at 10:10! Everyone welcome and encouraged to come.  Childcare will be provided for kids 10 and younger in Room 131 because there are no Children’s Ministry classes this Sunday.  
 
Centering Prayer is held every Tuesday evening at 6:30 in the Choir Room.  It is a meditative practice in the middle of a hectic week.   Join us as we focus on finding a peaceful center in the midst of busy lives.
 
Mark your calendars for the all-church Mardi Gras celebration on Feb 28 at 6pm in Fellowship Hall!  Join us for a pancake dinner, music, art, dancing, and short devotional. RSVP in Fellowship Hall.
 
Ash Wednesday supper and worship will be held on March 1st at 6pm. Join us for simple soup supper followed by a short worship service.
 
At our Maundy Thursday (April 13) worship service this year, the choir will sing Dubois's famous cantata, The Seven Last Words of Christ. We would like to invite any and all singers to join the choir for this one-time event, with rehearsals each Thursday evening in the choir room from 8:15-9:00. Please consider lending your voice! Interested in becoming a Congregational Care Minister?  There are several members of our congregation that could use a visit.  We currently do not have enough ministers to carry the load.  Please find an hour a week or every other week to reach out.  Contact Terresa Newport for more info.
 
Working Together: Building Sustainable Teams - Learn how to make five volunteers who are feeling disconnected turn into ten volunteers who are on fire! This training is on March 4 from 9:00 to 12:00 in the Loft. For more information contact Clare at clarecoonan@gmail.com

We received notice of the passing of Mrs. Bertha G. Nollman who was formerly Bertha G. Bagby. Mrs. Nollman's son Carlisle asked per her request that we share the news of her passing with any family and friends in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Nollman (Bagby) and her husband William M. Bagby are known for the Annual Bagby Concert which will be performed on Maundy Thursday on April 13th, 2017.

SERVICE

Soup kitchen sandwich making will be on Tuesday February 21st at 7:00 in the gym. We Deacons need as much help as possible to make our 700 to 800 sandwiches. Also take the opportunity to serve our community at St. Vincent de Paul 235 South Rio Grande St. We meet at St Vicente DePaul on Wednesday night on February 22nd at 4:30.  We need 18 to 20 volunteers for this night, so please sign to help. CLASSES & CONVERSATIONS

Pastor’s Book Group is reading “And Live Rejoicing: Chapters from a Charmed Life” by spiritual trailblazer Huston Smith.  Pastor Scott will lead a discussion of this exuberant memoir of an extraordinary life on Feb 21 at 11:00am & 7:00pm in the Library.

Adult Education classes will resume on February 19 with Mary Jane Chase’s class on the Protestant Reformation, a Lectionary Discussion, and a new class with Rev. Scott Dalgarno exploring the world’s religions through the eyes of scholar Huston Smith.
